An artist’s proof is an impression of a print taken in the printmaking process to see the current printing state of a plate while the plate (or stone, or woodblock, or silkscreen) is being worked on by the artist.
A proof may show a clearly incomplete image, or little error, or is used for test with different paper or medium but with the same subject.
Often called a Artist Proof (A.P.), working proof or trial impression o but in modern practice is usually used to describe an impression of the finished work that is identical to the numbered copies.
There can also be printer’s proofs which are taken for the printer to see how the image is printing, or are final impressions the publisher is allowed to keep; but normally the term “artist’s proof” would cover both cases.
Artist’s proofs are not included in the count of a limited edition, and sometimes the number of artist’s proofs, which belong to the artist, can be a few copy.
By convention, the artist and publishers is not sell these at once of regular editions, and this editions is like a unique piece, are rare and different because often have precious difference.

Simone Fugazzotto was born, then he started to paint.
Simone Fugazzotto (1983, Milan, Italy) has built his relationship with visual arts since early age: he was a cartoonist as a child, a lover of art history in adolescence, a painter at the academy.
In his paintings figures of “sophisticated” humans in disparate situations are combined with the figure of monkey — out of point of origin, an example oft he harmony in which is possibility to co-exist with the nature, a model of simplicity and of integrity. He exhibited his works in different art galleries of New York, Paris, Prague and Milan.
